Lactic Acid

Gentle exfoliation. Deep hydration. Smoother, brighter-looking skin.

Lactic Acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that helps loosen dead skin cells from the surface while also attracting moisture to the skin. It can improve the appearance of dullness, uneven texture, and pigmentation.

Supports Hydration

Unlike some exfoliating acids, lactic acid also has humectant properties that can help attract moisture to the skin.

The Hydrating Exfoliator

Lactic Acid works primarily as an AHA, exfoliating the skin's surface while also helping attract moisture.

1.

Loosens Dead Skin Cells

Lactic Acid helps weaken the bonds between dead skin cells on the surface of the skin.

2.

Removes Surface Buildup

As dead cells shed more easily, accumulated surface buildup decreases.

How to Use Lactic Acid

Lactic Acid can be found in serums, toners, masks, cleansers, and other exfoliating products. If you're new to AHAs, start with occasional use and increase gradually if your skin tolerates it.

Avoid using several strong exfoliating or active ingredients together when first introducing lactic acid. Follow with moisturizer and use sunscreen during the day.

Mimii Note ♡

Lactic Acid is the hydrating AHA of the group. It exfoliates while also helping attract moisture, but that doesn't mean you should overuse it. Start gently and let your skin enjoy the glow without pushing it too far.
