Glycolic Acid

Smooth texture. Brighten dull skin. Reveal a fresher-looking complexion.

Glycolic Acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that exfoliates the skin's surface by helping loosen dead skin cells. It can improve the appearance of uneven texture, dullness, and pigmentation.

With consistent use, glycolic acid can help create a more refined and even-looking skin surface.

The Surface-Smoothing Exfoliant

Glycolic Acid is a small-molecule AHA that works mainly on the skin's surface, helping loosen the bonds between dead skin cells.

1.

Reaches the Skin Surface

Glycolic Acid works within the outermost layer of the skin where dead cells can accumulate.

2.

Loosens Dead Skin Cells

It helps weaken the bonds holding dead skin cells together, allowing them to shed more easily.

3.

How to Use Glycolic Acid

Glycolic Acid can be found in toners, serums, masks, cleansers, and other exfoliating products. If you're new to AHAs, start with a lower-strength product and use it less frequently before gradually increasing use if your skin tolerates it.

Avoid using too many strong exfoliating or active ingredients at the same time, especially when first introducing glycolic acid. Follow with moisturizer and use sunscreen during the day.

Mimii Note ♡

Glycolic Acid is an exfoliant, not a scrubbing contest. You don't need to use it every day to get smoother skin. Give your skin time to adjust, because over-exfoliating can leave you with irritation instead of that fresh glow.
